The course is also intended to prepare students for entering universities, junior colleges, or specialized training colleges in Japan. Most of the students continue studying at such institutions in Japan after graduating from the Japanese Course.

TFLTC is authorized by the Governor of Miyagi Prefecture as a specialized training college. The Japanese Language Course is also authorized as a post-secondary course for such colleges. The students who graduate from the advanced class of the course will be awarded a diploma called “Senmonshi”.
