The Japanese Course of the Tohoku Foreign Language & Tourism College (TFLTC) started in 1989 and has since sent a lot of highly skilled graduates into many fields. TFLTC’s Japanese Course is approved by the Ministry of Justice and is also authorized by the Governor of Miyagi Prefecture as a post secondary course conducted by a specialized training college (senmongakko) under the School Education Law of Japan.
Our college has a wide range of up-to-date facilities and we also employ an experienced faculty. By an earnest and persevering study of the Japanese language, you will be able to improve your abilities to read, write, speak and listen to Japanese, and you will also gain an understanding of Japanese culture.
I sincerely hope you will start learning Japanese at TFLTC, and by using the knowledge gained, go on to a rewarding career in the future.

1996. February | Approved as an advanced vocational school with specialized courses of study by the prefectural governor of Miyagi Prefecture based on School Education Law |
2009. April | Reorganization of 2 year and 1.5 year academic advancement courses in accordance with the abolition of the general studies course |
2010. April | Renamed to Tohoku Foreign Language and Tourism College |
2015. April | Opening of the International Business Department. |
